A New Frozen Yoghurt Spot is Opening Soon in Davis

Aggie Yogurt aims to open as soon as April once a store manager is hired.

The Davis community has eagerly waited for a new frozen yoghurt shop that’s taking longer than anticipated to open. Aggie Yogurt, located at 425 Second St, as finally seeing some movement and may open within the next few weeks, as mentioned in Davis Enterprise.

Documents filed for the business indicate the upcoming fro-yo business is owned and operated by Johnny Brooks and Jin-yin Shaw. Davis Enterprise initially teased about the business last February and again mentioned the business in September. Now, Aggie Yoghurt is hiring for a shop manager on Indeed, referring to itself as “a thriving new business” in the heart of Downtown Davis.

Brooks and Shaw are both RE/MAX real estate agents and co-owns another business in the same space called Elite Property Management. The pair subdivided the existing space in the Old Fellows Building on Second Street to make room for the upcoming dessert shop. Construction began last September but faced some delays.

The owners weren’t available for comments by the time of this coverage.
