Nick Wootten, owner of West Sac Entertainment LLC, recently leased a 6,550-square-foot space in the development. Wootten has plans to turn the space into a full-service restaurant, bar, and entertainment venue with five full-size indoor golf simulators. The venue will open inside the mixed-use development known as 805 Riverfront, consisting of 286 apartment units and an approximately 10,000-square-foot retail space on the ground floor. The site is next to the Riverwalk trail on the southeast corner of Ballpark Drive and Riverfront Street.

“West Sacramento is rapidly growing but its entertainment options are still limited,” Wootten told the Business Journal. “That district is one of the most walkable in the area so we see an opportunity to capitalize on that growing hub.”

According to the Business Journal, Wootten is going after an indoor garden style that “combines boho and art deco elements” with indoor and outdoor seatings. In the meantime, Wootten is also seeking a chef partner to develop the menu and has not chosen a name for the concept just yet.

The project is currently going through the planning and permitting process. The Business Journal coverage mentioned Wootten is hoping to begin construction by the end of this year and open around April or May, 2025.

What Now Sacramento sent Wootten an email request for comments but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
