Ever After Wine Company is taking over a 1,200-sqft space, according to leasing materials. The new wine bar will join existing food options in the Village, including Pig Latin, Hidden Dumpling House, and 18 Grams Coffee & Tea.

Ever After Wine is owned by two powerhouse women, Nadia Pugh Mincey and Kelly Rhodes. Sacramento-born Mincey, serving as CEO of the business, is a well-known wine icon who previously owned Nad Wines, a wine tasting company and holds a WSET 2 certification. Rhodes , serving as CFO, brings her extensive experience in the real estate industry and business administration, as well as her expertise in helping small businesses manage their finances and operations to the table.

“My goal has always been to make wine accessible, relatable and educate on the differences in the wines I was discovering through my relationships in wine. Now that I’ve moved back to my hometown of Elk Grove, I am ready to share a place where everyone can enjoy the wines I’ve been sharing virtually for the past four years,” Mincey told What Now Sacramento in and email.

The friendship between Mincey and Rhodes goes way back in the days as the pair first connected when they were attending Joseph Kerr Middle School. They graduated Elk Grove High School together in 2006 and went their separate ways until reconnected over wine through Mincey’s Nad Wines platform.

“We both had a kindred dream of opening a wine bar, and with our complimentary expertise and career backgrounds, being business partners seemed like a great fit for us,” said Mincey.

Ever After Wine will feature a menu with small and large plates designed to shared and enjoyed with wine pairings. The standard menu includes charcuterie boards, dips, salads, flatbreads and panini sandwiches, but the wine bar will also offer specialty dishes for specific themes and events with plans to develop guest chefs programs and partnerships.

The wine bar is expected to open later this Fall. Those interested in following along can find latest updates via Ever After Wine’s instagram.
