A cafe space in Arden Fair Mall that has sat vacant for a few months will soon welcome a new tenant. Sips & Scoops plans to take over the former space of Onit Coffee, which closed last December. The lease has been signed, and the incoming operator is working on some visual changes before opening the doors. The news was first reported by the Sacramento Business Journal.

Nav Uppal, founder and incoming operator of Sips & Scoops said in the Business Journal coverage that she hopes to open as soon as June 1 once she completes interior modifications. The new cafe will serve coffee, espresso, a variety of beverages, and pastries provided by local partners. However, the highlight of Sips & Scoops’s menu is the delicious affogato options made with scoops of ice cream with a shot of espresso.
“Welcome to our vibrant coffee haven, where every cup sparks a conversation and ignites inspiration. Whether you’re craving a velvety latte, a bold espresso, or a sweet treat, join us in shaping our shared journey through the true essence of coffee craftsmanship,” the business said on its newly published Arden Fair Mall listing.
The vacant Suite 1110 has approximately 1,000 square feet of inside space and an outdoor patio, which also comes with a second entrance. According to the Business Journal, the cafe’s preliminary hours would be 7 or 8 a.m. in the morning until 8 p.m. when the mall closes.
What Now Sacramento reached to Uppal with an email request for comments but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage.
