Franchisee Mattie Place, who also owns the Dutch Bros kiosk in Roseville and Dutch Bros Granite Bay, will operate the upcoming location. Place’s journey with Dutch Bros started 16 years ago when she became a barista. Carrying the passion from Oregon to California, Place runs her franchise locations with her husband Brian Place.

“We are so excited to be opening a new location closer to the west Roseville area and getting to know this part of our community,” Place said in a statement.

According to application materials, Dutch Bros Freedom Point will replace the 12,000-square-foot Medical Office inside Freedom Point Plaza with a 950-square-foot coffee kiosk with a drive-through while reducing the parcel from 12,000 square feet to 8,000 square feet. Nearby businesses include Home 2 Suites, Residence Inn, and Topgolf
